These processes are now deprecated. For any event where you receve an ID mismatch error please use the self service link on your beta management page to reset your ESN.
PLEASE READ ENTIRE POST TO ENSURE WE CAN GET YOUR SWYPE BACK ASAP
This error is caused by one of three issues:
- Account alread associated with two other devices
- Phone is in Airplane Mode, or device ID could not otherwise be read
- Email address is incorrect, they are case sensitive (Thanks Jolest!)
Solution: Account associated with two other devices.
Log into http://beta.swype.com. After logging in you'll see an option to release your ESN association in the Phone Info box. -YOU CAN ONLY DO THIS ONCE!-
Solution: Phone is in Airplane Mode
Turn off Airplane Mode, reboot your device, retry install
Solution: Email address is incorrect
You can double check the case of your email address that you registered under by submitting a password reset here: https://beta.swype.com/android/user/lostpassword/ and checking the header of the email that is sent to you. (Note: you do not need to complete the password reset process)
DO NOT POST YOUR IMEI/MEID NUMBER IN THE FORUMS - IT'S A QUICK WAY TO GET YOUR PHONE CLONED!!!!!
