Just started using Swype on my iPhone. I know people have been clamoring for emoji functionality for literally years, but I don't use them that often, I get by just fine typing out :) and :( and :'( and =/ etc....However, even this seems incredibly difficult in Swype. If I type one space, then a colon, Swype gets rid of the space I created....If I type two spaces, then a colon, it does the same thing. Is there any way to do this besides putting in a space after the fact?

Considering Swype doesn't have emoji functionality, it's pretty surprising that this is so difficult...

Thanks in advance.

Hello kup22r,

If I type one space, then a colon, Swype gets rid of the space I created

We are fixing this bug for our next update! We apologize for any difficulty with smilies!

Thanks

On my device if you hold down the Z key for smilies it gives you a choice of smilies rather than just pressing the :-) button.

(Although i may have a slightly older version of swype 1.6.19.106...)
