I'm sorry if this question has already been asked. I'm new to swype, like today new and was wondering if there is a option to close the keyboard to make a full screen. I have the EVO 4G and the stock keyboard has the option to close the keyboard if the need comes up. I know other keyboard developers include that option, does swype?

On my EVO, clicking the back arrow on the phone always closes the keyboard and brings me back to fullscreen.

I can confirm that by pressing the "back" arrow key at the bottom of the EVO does close the Swype keyboard without exiting the app (like "Messages", ""People", etc.).

On some apps the back button does exit it so I find pressing and holding the menu button to hide the keyboard easier.

9 times out of 10, any Android powered device will close the keyboard simply by hitting the back button.

Tap+hold Menu button is better, IMO.

Back button may impact the active app (for example, in browser, it might close the keyboard + navigate back to the previous page).
