If so this may end up being my next phone...

The IDEOS X6 should have sufficient resolution but the U8150 has 320x240 and in my experience with the Vodafone 845, it's not high enough to install it on, installer failed...

The huawei comet is advertised on the main page as having swype.

The only difference is the comet is the tmo subsidized version of the ideos.

With that said if you know where I canf ind the x5 or x6 let me know..

I have an IDEOS U8150. I managed to download and install the latest beta 1.1.16059 (11.3) today, and got to be able to log in, but I get that hairy old "Screen size is not supported" reject message. So currently it would seem we cannot use Swype on the IDEOS U8150 :(

Hope you devs are working on it. Budget Androids like this phone are a huge growth area (and many such as this model, are quite handy and pretty capable units too) :)

I'm on a Huawei u8100, and with the small format screen swype would be a great improvement. At the moment, I also get the screen size not supported error.

I'm looking forward to being able to try out swype soon (i hope).

Try using the Wildfire version that exists here: LINK REMOVED

The Wildfire has a QVGA screen as well so it should work on the IDEOS

Do no post links to hacked/tweaked/unlicensed copies of Swype

I got tips on installing the Swype on my ideos phone from TipsRing website, and now swype is working on it.
