View Full Version : Swipe beta download

When I go to beta.swipe.com/android/get I get a message saying, "Sorry! This is not an Android phone", which the EVO most certainly is. I was on another site today that said I was running Safari on an Apple computer running OS X, which I definitely am not. What is the problem and how do I get Swipe back, especially now that you've fixed some of the weirdness that's been going on in the last beta?

I am having the same issue with my Droid Incredible. If there is a fix let me know. Every time there is a beta update it is hell trying to get the new version on my phone.

I got it fixed. Apparently the version of the installer that was being sent me was not the most recent one. One I used the one posted on this site in the stickies, I was able to get a correct download. I also set my browser back to mobile mode, as the FAQ suggested, which solved the problem with the beta site thinking I was running the wrong platform.

Hope that helps.

I love the Incredible but always wanted SWIPE on it . . not a clue how to download the new beta trial -- do it on computer and link to phone somehow - or use phone to access internet to download? Sometimes, things that YOU see as so easy are not so to others. I appreciate any and all help

If you had signed up for Beta, then go to http://beta.swype.com/ and login. There you will find a link to send an email with a link to download the Beta. You will only see this if you had signed up for Beta before the Beta was sent out.

painfully obvious that I was a newbie - can't download on computer even though I saw email there - must download on phone then install app - no how to sgteps for newbies - just assumption of knowledge from more experienced users
