I don't know if this is feasible or time-worthy, but perhaps a feature could be written that would allow the user to swype a name (perhaps only "activated" when "capitalize-first-letter" function is utilized?) and add " 's" based on the capitalization structure of the word (for instance, with a lowercase "g," Swype would show "grants," however with the first letter capitalized, may show "Grant's," or at least put it in the list of possibilities).

it would be nice if Swype just respected proper nouns in any case.. Who types monday and needs it lower-case? Sensible suggestion though :)

The preferred/recommended method for entering possessives is to swype the root word ("Grant" in your example), lift your finger, and then swype the apostrophe-s. 's is one of the "punctuation words" that can be swyped. For a full list, see the built-in help documentation category for "punctuation words."
