Since I'm not authorized to respond to http://forum.swype.com/showthread.php?902-process-com.swype.android.inputmethod-has-stopped-unexpectedly&highlight=com.swype , I'm starting a new topic here.

Samsung galaxy spica i5700 with android 1.5, standard rom, not fiddled with.
When running version 1.60.36.8214, I get the message that the process com.swype.inputmethod has stopped unexpectedly.
This happens right after the tutorial window pops up.

I logged the error with aLogCat. (SendLog crashed)
This is the result: http://pastebin.com/iSBgk1N6
Judging from the log, I think this is the line that's giving the problem, because right after here, the process is ended:
Verifier rejected class Lcom/swype/android/inputmethod/ContactsIteratorImpl;

Tried reinstalling/rebooting etc.
Any suggestions on how to make swype work anyway?
Something with my contacts I assume...?

Thanks in advance for help.

You're having problems likely because v8214 is not designed for your device. This is NOT an authorized beta build. You are using an unlicensed, hacked version which has removed our licensing. Only the official beta (currently version number 7825) is the only version that is designed to work generically on all devices.

The contacts iterator is what goes through your contact list and adds your contacts to the user dictionary so you can swype their names and email addresses. Most likely this function is customized for the device that version 8214 belongs to, and thus is causing a crash when it tries it with your different device.
